    Question RIDGID K-60 Drain Machine

Who owns a RIDGID K-60 Drain Machine?

And how do you like it?

If you don't own one, do you use one at work?

Would you recommend it to a friend?

    Thanks in advance!

I own TWO k-60!! one for every day use and a brand new one in the box for a backup! I can not be without my #1 all around drain cleaning machine!

The k-60 does 80% off all my drain work! The Eel model c does 10% I also have a k-7500 which is a pain in the ass to haul up and down stairs, but i use it here and there. oopps i forgot the k-50. Each machine has there time and place in my drain cleaning aresonal, but the k-60 is the leader of the pack! Infact the k-60 is headed up on the roof top this week for a roof top job that another guy walked away from, all he has is a spartan 100 and a 1065.

We have k-60 and realy like it! Very powerful and easy to move. Most of work is outside, inside it takes some time to set-up but can be clean.

We are looking at getting drum(k6200), there are times when we wished we had one. Overall i give the k-60 an A plus.

On my truck I carry a K-60 along with my K-50, an old Super Vee, and usually I have Speedy Kleeny Kollman KM-1500 (from the 60's, same as the Ridgid 1500, but with a better motor).

I do a lot of tub, lav and K/S drains. The K-50 does all fixture drains for me and some floor drains. I use the K-60 for tight spots, crawlspaces and other spots that Speedy can't get into very easily.

The K-60 is a good machine when used for the appropriate application.

    Default k60

i own a k-60, and a ridgid k750, roof job is ok for the k-60 i have inner core cable from general it is heavy to carry. I used regular cable and inner cable.
When i hit heavy root i put all inner cable, if no root i just used plane cable.
Sometime i wish i can carry both in my van but i know it a waste of space and the weight will kill the gas milage. So i put k-60 in the van with me.

I switched about a year ago and i was impressed. At first it was like relearning to cable but once i got the hang of it I was able to get alot of jobs because of it. There are alot of crawl spaces and basements with stairs not wide enough or strong enough for a 1065 so breaking it down was the only solution. Most companies will charge extra for that or charge extra for pulling a toilet. With the k60 i can just go any where it just takes more trips but the equipment is light so it goes fast. I have both the k60 and a 1065 but i do not carry the 1065 anymore. If i have any problems the k60 can not handle the jetter gets pulled out. K60 is awesome.
