Default Techie details for server upgrades

    Hi

In an effort to be transparent, here's what the plan is for this site.

I've already moved to a new server and if you're seeing this post, you're also on the new site. It's possible that depending on your ISP, you may see the old site for another hour or two.

After we're sure this site is stable, we'll upgrade the forums from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3.

From there, the plan is to upgrade to version 5.x. That's going to be a big change, one that will probably require the help of our marketing team to get correct, so that one might take a bit.

Please use this thread to post any issues you may have, and we'll do our best to help.

Thanks for being patient with us.

EDIT: 12/3/16: We are aware that site emails are not being sent. We are looking into the issue and hope to have it resolved before too long.

    EDIT 12/3/16: Upgraded to 4.2.3

Thankyou for keeping this site up and running. It's very appreciated by all 4 of us.

People getting busy is the main thing. Im not involved in the plumbingzone anymore but ridgid forum is slow too. There is a new member every week but none of them ever say anything. I dunno. Maybe we've discussed everything twice so new posts are limited. Redwoods been out of the picture for a while so theres no active moderater. We need some inexperienced guys on here to ask questions but i dont see that happenimg anytime soon. Perhaps some promitions for members from dcd may entice people to speak up nothimg big but drawings for free shipping on next cable order or something. Personally I love this site and would like to see it e

I'm with you Cable. I don't go to the PZ anymore and the Ridgid site has to much drama it seems. I hope this site comes back also. I know being only Drain Cleaning I am a little bias but so be it. Cleaning is all I do and the PZ has one little fourm on that subject. Hope the 4 of us can help!!!!!!!

The forum was down so long and then it was so slow it took interest away from folks.

But look at Roto go. Three posts in one day, hope the server can handle it.

That's a fair assessment. I personally think the speed difference is apparent from the upgrade, and I hope it's noticeable by you guys too.

I'm going to start work on the email issue now and hope to have it done by the end of the day.

Still no luck with email...the server is creating the emails, but they're just not being sent.
