    Default Backlashed cable

I've managed to straighten out a backlashed cable before but this has defeated me. I have a General Speedrooter 91 and ended up with a spaghetti type mess inside the drum recently. Any suggestions on straightening it out?

I agree with Appleton. If it is close to either end I have cut the cable to make a short one to use on short drains and not have to carry the heavy ones down stairs or in basements. I carry 4 reels with 130' on each and sometimes it is nice to have a light one to carry if the line is not to long. Also (just me) I don't like spice cores.

Getting it out is the problem. I got years out of that cable, I have no problem replacing it.
