I think they are about even with EEL having better cable but the 1500 can be used inside better than the eel can.

The K1500 uses a jawset to spin the cable, the Model C is direct drive to cable(does a geared clutch though). I'd put my money on the Model C any day of the week.

I was thinking the same thing. Direct drive has got to beat jawset any day of the week. Just wanted input from guys who have used a 1500.

The Jaws are tough they don't slip unless worn out and it takes a lot to wear them out. It allows quick stops if needed. So it's not a flaw it's just another way to to do it. I have both machines I like the EEL outside and the k1500 inside both are only if it's a real bad stoppage. But I have used both on easy stuff just to try it and both go through things and you don't even know it that would bind other machines.

To me it is like Chevy vs Ford it is really what you like better. I like the 1500 because it is easy inside and outside.
