    Default Scheduled Reminders

I've never sent out any scheduled reminders for some services that should be done at certain intervals.

So what I'm looking to do is make a "database" of all past customers that might need this and have it automatically "alert" us on x date that this should be done. Go in, look at the computer on Monday, see these 5 people lit up on the screen that their service is due. We then send the reminder to them that "ABC was done on such and such a date, time to schedule it again".

Do any of you do this?

If so, how do you have it set up?

    Program? App?

    Thanks for any input.

We have been looking into programs of this type. The only one I have come across is smart service. I'm not sure if it alerts you to reminders. We too have customers the need service at regular intervals. You know your business is growing when you cant remember each customers service needs. Guess that's a good problem.

It seriously doesn't get any simpler than Google Calendar. Put in the event, set the reminder, and that's it. I set mine up to email me at 7am with that days events. For more instant reminders set it to text as well. So I get an email in the morning with the days schedule all printed out, and then a text 1/2 hr before each appointment.Like mentioned it syncs to the phone, in fact I have a widget that shows the upcoming events right on my screen, and if I tap it I can view the calendar and add or edit events. Why pay for something that does what Calendar does for free?

we have it built into our software to send reminders to septic customers every so often.

Well, the option is there, doesn't always get used.

But if you're on a fairly small scale, I'd use google calendars. Its amazing how a quick reminder will spur people into action sometimes.
