Haz Mat is a completely different truck, different rig, etc... that's a no no.

We don't haul oil persay, more the oil seperators. Which has grit, grime, etc in it. We take anything thats not sanitary/organic to a solidification facility. (lots of landfills have them). There's a lot more paperwork that goes with it, and we have to wash out each time we haul a load like that. Rear opening door on the trucks, power washer or a good garden hose and usually 15-20 minutes of washing.

Nothing we haul is flammable. Even the oil seperators have enough sludge and water to them that they wouldnt be an issue.

I should add that you have to be DARN SURE you do a good job washing out after one of those loads or else the treatment plant where you take your next septic will kick your butt! We are fortunate enough to have good guys who take pride in what they do and haven't had a problem.

Thanks for the info. We don't have a lot of factories or manufacturing (if you don't include meth) in our area, so we don't get the calls for that kind of thing.

If you are up to it and it seems to be Ok, I would at least persue it. I am thinking it is an EPA thing and many gas stations, service stations and more would need to pump them every three months. Am I right on any of this?

This is really odd. Two guys here on the forum looking to get into pumping. I got a forwarded e-mail from the Executive Secretary of the O2WA today that was a fella looking to get into pumping on the coast here in Oregon.

    Weird.
