Default Good day to have two trucks...

My partner booked up my driver for this morning with a locate, uncover, pump and inspect for a real estate deal, then a pump for maintenance. After that she's got two 3,000 gallon holding tanks to pump. Then one of my excavators calls and has an abandonment for a sewer hook that needs to be done first thing this morning. Looks like I'll be rolling out in the other truck today! I'm glad I have the ability to handle the overflow!

very nice! we have a spare septic truck too. Expensive to keep around, but nice to have an extra rig on a day like today when an injector went on 1 of them

Course its WAY more fun when they're all out there making bucks.

My little truck was the first one I bought when we got back into septic work and I set it up to be able to service portable toilets as well. It's got 300 gallons of fresh water and a two unit carrier on the back. A jetter resides in the huge tool box on the side, or stuff a box of toilet paper in it and go. It's done toilet route when we were short on trucks or they were all busy, we use it regularly on special events where large volumes of waste is pumped. It's a great truck that can fill in where it's needed.

My big truck doesn't carry much water and no toilets, but with 3,400 gallons, production is it's key value. I can also carry a cart jetter and a 100 machine.

Oh so I went and pumped the cesspool that the excavator was abandoning. It turned out to be about 50 gallons that I pumped. From there I headed to pump one of the holding tanks with the big truck. I went to dump the truck after that, meanwhile my driver and her helper did their first two jobs with the little truck dumping in our holding tanks. I came back from the treatment plant and filled the truck again. They made a couple of trips with the small truck and got the other holding tank empty, while I made yet another trip to the treatment plant.

Today they had three scheduled for today. First one went quick and easy. Second turned out to be a cesspool under the house that was failing. There was ten inches of crap under the house and no safe way for them to pump it. It got rescheduled for Friday when Serv-Pro or some one like that will be there to clean it up. This guy is motivated to take care of it as the county is on his azz to get it taken care of. Then they had a quick one this afternoon.

A good week so far. Not much scheduled for tomorrow. Stephanie is going to make a trip to the treatment plant. We are getting ready for a half marathon we are setting toilets for on Saturday. 54 units! This gal that we are working for is very demanding but is also super happy with us and pays as soon as she recieves her invoice. I like customers like that!

Todays action is to make sure everything is ready to go for the event tomorrow. Check trailer tires, spare tires, trailer lights, supplies, etc. We have to leave the office at 4am. Arrive on site at 5 and bust everything out then wait. When everything is over in about 3 hours we will pick it all up, bring it back to the shop and unload it all. It makes for a busy, yet rewarding day.

    Default Puming and dumping again....

Another good day of pumping. It's nice to have a busy day now and again. Got lucky and had two on the same street first thing this morning. Stephanie and Juan filled up the big truck out of our tanks the took the little truck to another job. I ran to the treatment ant and dumped the big one. They went to pump what was supposed to be a 1000 gallon tank, then a small vault toilet and deliver a handicap toilet to a state park. Turns out the tank was 2000 gallons and that truck holds 1700. So they are going back in the morning. I'm currently dumping the truck again. Shwew
