Juan and I dug up a nice effluent line that went sharply down hill right out of the tank, then went sharply up hill just before it became drain pipe with stone that was too small around it. Somewhere after that it connected to the old original clay tile drainfield then abruptly ended in a seepage pit about 60' from the tank. These folks are going to have fun getting a good system put in. The lot is 90' wide by about 250' deep. The only place for a replacement is in the front yard but the neighbors well is pretty close to the property line. Our code says the setback is 100'. I'm glad I'm not the installer who has to figure that one out. They may wind up with a sand filter or ATT.
