Question 1 1/2" Cast Iron Trap.....

Today I had an old school extremely deep 1 1/2" cast iron trap with a sharp bend and a steel plug (wouldn't budge) on the bottom for a washer dump that no matter what I tried I couldn't get past.

It's similar to the one in the link posted below except it was much more recessed/deeper on the bottom where the plug is.

    Tricks ?

Yes Redwood I even tried your little bendy snaky thingy

I agree with the sawzall being needed.

That's what I ran into in this thread Assy. http://draincleaningforum.com/showth...und-Cast-Traps

You're right, it's deeper than the one you pictured and has a tighter radius. The one I had actually had the two sides connected in the middle. No air-space in the U. All cast together. Much cursing.
