    Default Rothenberger R750

I've been using the Rothenberger R750 with the 1.25" cables for a little while now to get the hang of this machine. Some things I like more than the 1500, some I like less. I do like the small footprint that the machine takes on my truck. A LOT. this weekend I am hoping to use the machine on a 100' run of moderate roots over at my dad's house. It's not actively stopped up, just a maintenance rod out, but it will give me a chance to see how the machine does pushing the 7/8" IC cable past 100'. This machine is an absolute beast and I can't wait to see how it does. Unfortunately it seems that Rothenberger has pulled it from the US market, but I think that it's still available online. This is probably why it took so long to get my stinking parts

I looked into buying the machine about a year ago and the best i could find was machine only for 2,300.00. I thought that was a bit pricey even for my taste

How long did you have to wait for the parts to come in? I remember you were getting mad waiting. I'm glad the parts came in and you like the R750 Keep us posted pictures too

The R-750 replaced my broken R-60 which had a 2HP motor inside. The R-60 took a two story fall off a roof and cracked the frame. I have ran over 600' with my R-750, the Ridgid K-1500 would barely got past 300' I do have a Ridgid K-500 with a 2HP motor which will turn over 600' of cable but its been blowing breakers.

For a while the R-750 was the only machine on my truck. I had 255' of 1 1/4" cable 150' of 78" cable and I had the collet that snapped into the front of the machine that reduces the jaws down so I was also able to run 5/8" cable with the same machine. They even made a collet at one time that would spin 3/8 cable for you.

Awesome machine. Nice to have the option to run 1.25, 7/8, and 5/8 cable all with one unit. Does Rothenbergur make any drum attachments so you could run 3/8 cable too?

    JH,

What's the furthest you have run 1.25 with your Model C? I haven't gone over 128' yet with mine.

The R650 and R550 has drum adapters to run the smaller cables.

I'm not impressed with the cutters that come with the R750 but that can be quickly taken care of with eel cutters and cable.
Watching the video on the R750 it is well made and thought out right down to the connector pin in the front to hold the cable. One thing I would love to see on this R750 and the K60 is if it could self feed the cable in reverse instead of the labor of pulling it out section by section hand pulling 200 feet is not fun.
Over all the R750 seems impressive

The Ridgid and Rothenberger cables do self feed if you hold the cable on the edge of the clean out or pipe. It feeds into the pipe on reverse and on forward it will feed itself out.
