Default Why DIY how to do Videos are bad.

Really, I wonder how many took this advice and tried it.

This advice is wrong and should not be attempted
There is no need to unscrew the tub drain. Snaking the tub drain is done by removing the trip waste and over flow plate. Then snaked down the over flow jumping past the trap to blockage.

Wrong! Do not attempt to clear a toilet stoppage in this manner.

I would love to see someone try that in a real clogged toilet with a hand crank. And attempt to clear it like that video with a toilet full of lemonade and nuggets floating in it.
You would have to be drunk to do it for $50 bucks

It's got a lot to do with prices...

It used to cost a bunch of money to make a movie so people used to ensure there was talent involved...

Usually some kind of production staff that paid attention to details..

    Today it's:
    • Sony Handycam SR88 Silver 120GB Hard Disk Drive Camcorder at Walmart $399.00
    • Sony 39" Lightweight Camera and Camcorder Tripod at Walmart $29.00
    • Sunpak Ultra-Compact Video Light at Walmart $14.88
    • eMachines Black 15.6" eME725-4520 Laptop PC with Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor T4400 & Windows 7 Home Premium with MS Movie Maker installed as part of the basic Windows 7 OS for editing the movie. at Walmart $398.00
    • Putting a movie of yourself on YouTube showing someone DIYer Home Repair Tips while doing it all wrong...

      Priceless!

    One thing for sure...

If you paid this guy to clean your tub drain it would cost you a lot more getting the leaking tub drain fixed once he's done than you would have paid to get a drain cleaned right in the beginning by someone that knew what they were doing...

I just want customers to know This how to "not unclog a toilet"
This is not how it's done by professionals with real equipment
