Damn, that sucks. Are you sure everything's gone? Sometimes information that seems gone is recoverable. This should be a warning to everybody to back up your files often. I'm guilty of not doing it as regularly as I should.

My main computer has two 1.5 TB hard drives with one having the sole purpose of backup. In addition, I have a separate 500 GB to double backup critical files.

Three years of tax info, shooting stats. can all be recoverd I don't trust computers so I have that all in paper that I can redo. But all forms and contacts gone bye bye. As soon as I redo it all there will be a clone computer that I use in the truck. I had been backing up my quick books twice a week but I have gotten busy the last five months and have only done it once a week. That 15 min extra a week of relaxation, has now cost me hours. Wont happen agian.

Has anyone ever used Carbonite Backup? I hear them advertised all the time on the local talk radio. I might have to actually take the time to take a serious look at it, they seem to have good reviews. I don't want to ever run into a similar situation as the one posted above. Peace of mind is worth a few bucks a month. So does anyone have any experience with them or something similar?

16 hours of pounding the one finger wizzard has gotten every thing I could retrive back in the computer!! I will now back up my quickbooks every day. I timed my self 2 min. A hell of lot better than 16 hours.
