    Default question- internet gurus

Can someone please explain, using small words, why some websites appear different in different browsers?

Or atleast link an explanation that a dumb plumber might understand?

And of course, the follow up million dollar question- how does one fix it?

He means how you can view a website in IE and it looks good but in Firefox it doesn't or vice versa. I don't know why or how to fix that. Joseph (Housetrap) would be the go-to guy here at DCF but somebody else might also know.

It probably looks great and works fine with Firefox...
Its kinda messed up in IE and maybe has a bug or two...
And probably doesn't work right at all in Chrome....

    Use Firefox!

Actually it looks fine in Firefox and Chrome, with a few, subtle differences in IE.

Firefox and Chrome are always very similar. So, if your website looks different between Firefox and Internet Explorer, then you will need to find someone that knows how to do CSS (which is the programming language used to make the website look nice). They can then make it look correct on all browsers.

If I were you, if you had someone do your website, I would contact them. If you did it yourself through a website builder, you should contact their support for help.
