Must be something about you USA people, worst I have had was for a USAF guy, called me at 1130pm, I left his house at 0130hrs. Nice guy, was so pleased... as usual, once arriving find that I am number 3 to have a go at unblocking. But I don't quit!!!

yeah... it's an interesting balance of approaching it in an intelligent manner and dogged persistence... a lot of times when I succeed where others have failed it's just because I stayed with it. I like those; nothing makes you shine and justifies the extra time like someone having been there before you.

I'll get in a bang it out and get it done mode and try to slip one in between a couple others because I'm close and it should be quick, and then it'll trhow me and I'll have to relax, sit back, make some calls to push some back, and engage with it.

Seems like the short lines full of sewage are always the hardest .
I had one last week that I was about to quit and go get my jetter then the SLUDGE started moving about 15 ft from the cleanout.
I had to loosen the feeder and SLAM the cable in @out a few times and like magic the sludge started moving then I added water until it was gone. That 3 hrs passed like 15 minutes
still love the smell of stink in the morning

    Default cake job

i used to get a feeling when i pulled in the drive ,i would say to my trainee.
this is gonna taste like shit,,,
and to this day ive NEVER been wrong...a stool auger job turns into a 200 ft line ,complete with willow trees, offsets and a rotted out boot at the city tap.
however it goes the other way once in a while.
2;00 am call for a stool auger in 1/2 bath off kitchen for a heart surgeon, done in 5 min ,charged after hours rate of min 120.00 hr
he said its more money than he makes in 5 minutes in surgery....
I replied ,thats why i got outta medicine,,,,

after 3 or 4 hours dragging back roots, tampons, dental floss and something i couldnt tell what it was
Is there a better sound in the world than the thunder from the c/o when a main line breaks loose..

its been fun reading some of your horror stories, like memory lane for me.
as a trainer i had to bail out newbies everyday.
    Seen it all ...........lol
    take care guys

My OL takes some of my call as well. It never fails that on a Friday nite when she has plans for the 2 of us, she'll take a call that lasts for hours.
I try to shove them over to Saturdays IF the HO can live with it. It's not like he's going to get charged any more $$$$, and I get to have some much earned time with the wife.

Somebody from there needs to take a good hard look at their Marquette MI store. There are things happening in that store that should not be going on and also terminations that should not be happening. A department manager got terminated for inappropriate conduct but the person that made the accusations was sleeping with one of the other department managers in the lighting department. This in my eyes is a problem, also the person that made the accusations and sleeping with the DM has been on a final for three different things within a years time and yet she is still employed with your company.
