Default Just looking to see if anybody has any interest?Well the economy has taken it's toll

Well the economy has taken it's toll on us a little(slowed my growth a little) But even though people are more conservative with their dollars these days being in the sewer service business whether your cleaning them or repairing them has some positive pressure from the goverment on cleaning up and fixing leaks into our nations waters. Going Green is being jumped on by many companies to fit in and generate revenues. I have been approached by a few companies offering the use of their Green logos if I pay xxx to attend their seminars. I get a lot of my info of the internet anyway so I don't want to pay for a logo to use. So I was thinking if others where interested we could start a Sewer And Drain Cleaners Green America Association (SDCGAA) Create our own logo to use on our web sites and advertising and it could be as simple as a email list or ? If anybody is interested post your thoughts or email me.

I would be interested in something like this for sure. There are so many "green" organizations out there that are basically worthless clubs with annual dues. The customers don't realize this so they do carry some weight in advertising. I like the idea of a green or environmentally focused drain and sewer workers association. Bio enzyme drain cleaners, limited toxic chemicals (calci-solve works soooo well), etc.

My point is the customer may have a fit when they see the normal things we do.

This has gotten a totally different reaction on The Ridgid forum. Anti green because of all the scams, I just want a green logo that is real not one I just make up and put on my web site. Pipe patches stop sewer leaks to the ground water, cameras in a sewer that isn't backed up show spots to be repaired being pro active by the consumer, jetting is another important step in the process. Catch basins or retention tanks delay gray water going into the sewer system. So I am being real in what we can offer to the customers who are green and not just saying we are green.

I wish there was a section on this site to discuss Green issues that drain cleaners can use, then when people googled it may come up and drive customers to the people posting there. There is a lot of programs around the nation that pay 80-100 % of the costs to plumbers and contractors to install many devices that help the ecology costing the consumer next to nothing.

How about an image of a house and a sewer pipe running under it with a water drip? Or a tree with a pipe under it with a water drip?
Were pretty much green already no harsh acids or chemicals, We use water and electric for or sewer machines. To bad our vans are not BIO diesel.
Our how about this for a logo just kicking ideas?? A sewer cable and cutter with plunger crossing over a green leaf? Kind of like a skull and cross bones.
